Lion Heart is very small and have not got any 2014 pictures so will have to settle for one from 2013 I am sure there are pictures in my group file but until I find them

Thank you Jo. Lancifolia really is a stalwart, handling root competition so well. They are at the base of a Butternut with a huge Sugar Maple to the left.
Your Limey Lisa is terrific. Love the combo!
    Ditto on your pics Jo!!!

LUNA MOTH in the same spot since 2011 and never bugged by slugs, earwigs or cutworms. What a great hosta and obviously a favorite for so many.

LITTLE SUNSPOT I lost the first one I had in the same spot. This one is 5 years old. Just goes to show that sometimes, it's the hosta and not the location, that's the problem, not always easy to determine at the time.

Not the beautiful Landscaping with Liberty pictures that were on forum but a start to 3 new ones in late August I purchase and looking healthy as a horse so I can dream of the future for them.

Peren.all, ... very pretty pic of your Lemon Limes in bloom. That's a lot of flowers!

I'm hoping my Luna Moth will look as lovely as the ones pictured here.

Liberty in spring looks nice with the blue flowers of Brunnera Jack Frost

Hostatakeover- I liked the look of your 'Landslide' ... looked it up and it's not in tissue culture, so probably not available in Canada. BooHoo. It has such a beautiful form. I really like it...yours looks very healthy.

Paula, your hosta is beautiful but it doesn't look anything like almosthooked's 'Lionheart'. It's one I've had on my list...it has a rippled edge like 'Golden Meadows' and 'Andrew'. Are you sure you have a 'Lionheart' there?

    A. Short

Lemon Zest behind Spartacus. It went down so early that it might not come back.

Kathy, answer to riddle #1 is age. Darn. Do you stack all the rock borders yourself? They are fabulous.

  • zkathy z7a NC

These days I design the rock and get someone else to implement. I did all the early beds myself, but the chiropractic bills were higher than what I pay my help.

Thank you, Irawon. Yes, the folks I purchased Landslide from said it multiplied so readily there was no need to TC it. It's one of the fastest growers in my garden and I'd happily share some of it with you if were nearby.

Kathy, LOVE the stacked rocks. I've always admired that look.

irawon I got my Lion Heart as a free-be from Hallson's Garden 2 years ago. The first year it looked like almosthooked's and 2014 it was almost bleached white by the sun.

That's very nice of you, HostaTakeover. I'm touched by your kind offer.

Paula, they looked so different, I felt compelled to comment. Thanks for the explanation.

Beautiful pictures funnthsun. I had Lemon Juice on my list last year so I have to ask why your beautiful plant is in the trash bin?

  • funnthsun z7A - Southern VA

Just walk away from Lemon Juice, McT. HVX straight from the hybridizer. As beautiful as it was, it was diagnosed immediately after I got it. Positive test result. Not worth the risk on this one. I'd love to have it, too. Luckily, I noticed it immediately and nothing else was infected.
