Hi. My husband and I are planning to build our new house next December. We want to save as much money as possible on things that we can do ourselves. We thought about hiring a GC to build our house, however, we want to take over and do the finishing such as painting, putting in interior doors, light fixtures, kitchen cabinets and sink, bathroom sinks and toilet, and even the flooring. We will have a lot of help from our family members. Do you see any problems with us getting the loan if we do that? And if so, what do you suggest we do? Our house will be 1300 sqft. Out budget is 100,000$. Thanks for your input.
