Basement Bathroom Reveal

We started our basement finishing project in March of 2013. So far the office is done and over the Christmas break we finished the bathroom - yay! The house was built with the pipes for a 3 piece bath, but that's all that was there. On the John Bridge forum, I had seen a bathroom done in 2008 with tile I fell in love with. That's were all the ideas started.

The tile is Crossville porcelain, Napoleon Blue and Silver
Fixtures are Delta Victorian
Toilet and sink are Kohler Memoirs Stately
Vanity is from Menards - can't remember brand
Countertop is Super White granite

We were able to use the shower for the first time on Jan. 1. I love it! It's the "spa" bathroom in our house now :)

Excellent work on the tile layout, especially the corners. Great attention to detail. Was this a DIY project?

Thank you! My son's friend does tile for a living. We like him for all our tile work. DH did all the plumbing, and installation. DH's friend is a painter and did the drywall and painting for us.

I love it! Question about the glass and the bench. I am looking at doing something similar in the coming year(s) with one of our bathrooms. Is it sealed with a clear silicone to prevent run off, is it slanted slightly or do you just deal with water occasionally spilling over? Curious and thanks!

I love the tile too - both the design and the work! You were very fortunate to have someone so talented to do that for you. Wish my son had friends like that!

very nice color combo. Shower looks very roomy.
I like how the dark blue tile was carried over to the vanity area.

What a great design and color combo! I love that it's not another ubiquitous beige tile bathroom, but all blue would have been too dark. It's just lovely!

Thanks everyone! Hunting, there is no silicon sealer on the glass. The bench is slanted forward so the run off goes onto the shower floor. If I spray the handheld at the glass, some water will make its way onto the floor. If I only use the shower head, no water goes that far and onto the floor. It wasn't a lot, even with the handheld. So I just deal with it.

Hunting, today I rinsed the glass with the hand held and took a picture just after. So here's how much water is on the floor on the bench side.

Thanks deb! The reason I ask is because the area where I am considering putting it would be about a foot away from the hardwood floor in the hallway. Love your bathroom!

I love it! Great personality but pretty timeless tan and navy never go out of style. Nice job.
