Agreed that holiday baking should go, although I want to try that cream cheese babka some day when I am not fat.

It has been nearly 3 years since the last change. Not long, considering the previous one had been up for a decade or so.

Oops, didn't mean to insult anyone's photography. I've always thought the photo and quote were weird. I guess that's what decorating is about -- personal taste.

I just read through the old thread and see my comment. I didn't like it then either,. At least I am consistent.

This place hasn't changed much in the 15 or so years I've been here. Ads started after Spike sold out. A few background visual changes. But not much else and I don't think it will change unless viewership drops off. They are making money and don't want to update. Maybe, in part, because every update has been greeted with a chorus of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"

The Holiday baking has only been up a few months IIRC. It is a section they seem to be refreshing, I think they just forgot it.

Ditto. Still looking at morning glories? They missed the whole Fall season and we're well into Winter. And the section of 'What's New' is usually fairly old.

I hope we don't end up regretting a change.....It seldom makes things better anymore....

But they did change déassé to déclassé. I kind of miss déassé.

I miss deasse too. To me this web site is like a kooky Aunt. Entertaining to be around but I don't want to examine it too closely.

My Dell desktop has Adblock so I don't see any photos on the right. The print is still there (i.e. Ann's cream cheese babka) but not the distracting photos - oh - no blue morning glories either. And I never have pop-ups.

Giggling here. As long as the threads are up to date, I don't care about the rest. Seems it is taking decorating to the extreme to worry about this. I used to love seeing the Wright quote-always made me smile picturing him saying that. In the end, I am fine if it is changed and fine if not. Not on my radar to worry or care about, I'm afraid. Guess I will never really fit here. ð³
