Different flooring adjacent rooms

I am rushing through a remodel and have made not so smart decisions because im losing patience with each day that passes. I really wanted to put flooring in this room since there wasn't any flooring there except plywood subfloor.

Now I am really disgruntled with the fact that the floor looks so different when seen next to the lighter parquet hallway floor (not seen in the picture is that right next to the other side of the parquet there is some dark cherry floor).

Every time I see this I get all upset about it...any ideas on how to disguise it? I thought about an area rug or something...

why not refinish the parquet and stain to match the other floor?

it looks like there is a lip from one flooring to the other. We had that problem, oak flooring to the vinyl, and put quarter rounders in oak at the lip, blends in nice. See if you can find some quarter rounders at the wood stores that sort of blend in the two together.

it looks like there is a lip from one flooring to the other. We had that problem, oak flooring to the vinyl, and put quarter rounders in oak at the lip, blends in nice. See if you can find some quarter rounders at the wood stores that sort of blend in the two together.
