Hello!

The reason for the buzzing is that the lights are not meant to be dimmed. Typically when you use a wall dimmer which controls an electrical outlet, you are cutting the amount of power directly to the outlet, the small mechanism that each light plugs into is the transformer. Which according to Ikea's website is an unspecified low voltage. Changing to a dimmer made for CFL/LED will not help nor solve the issue - these dimmers are meant for overhead bulb or can lighting.

These lights will most likely burn out due to the stress of the dimmer switch if they haven't already.

For plug in systems dimmers need to be an in-line dimming option. Ikea does not seem to offer one for their products.

I put LED bulbs in my bedside table lamps and they buzz; it is very annoying. The lamps are pre LED. Do LED lamps buzz too with the LED bulbs?
