one--maybe ball point needles?? They punch thru the spandex instead of cutting thru (which is sorta what reg needles do. I understand your ''stretch'' needle, but worth a try the ball points.

I also say ballpoint needles for the spandex.Did you try putting different color threads on each post/pole,so you can see exactly which part needs adjusting,if not try that.

Also on Craftsy.com,you can sign up for lessons on how to use your server,it's a video that you download to your pc,and can watch anytime you want/need to.It's yours forever.

I think I paid 20.00 for it and they always have sales going on.I already knew how's to use and adjust mine,but there are so many additional things you can do with the server and the other feet that come with them.

My first serger was a white 534,and I used it for over 25 years,and when it finally hit the dust,the company that made the parts for it was no longer in business,so I had to get a new one.

I got the Babylon 1034,have had this one for a few years now.

Thanks for the replies. I started off using a ball point needle but when that didn't totally work I Went for the stretch needle. I assumed the stretch needle was ball point as well...maybe not. I'll try the different color threads...good idea..I'll let you know how I make out.
