Grimslov is the new shaker style I would not choose a pure white subway tile with off white cabinets . What is your counter top that is what I would use to choose backsplash

I always choose backsplash at the end of a reno as all the other choices dictate the backsplash so I would say wait until the cabinets and counter are in you can install backsplash any time.

I haven't seen the new ones in person so can't know the color for sure.

Love your quartz counter and herringbone decision for your tile. Just wondering if off white cabinets with white tile will be the best to compliment your kitchen, especially with a glossy finish which will be very stark white. Until you have a sample of all three together, only you can decide if you like the look. You could consider a carrara marble that has gains of grey/white/beige, so it pulls the features and compliments each.

It depends on just how off-white the cabinets are, but I generally do not like the effect of the tile being visibly whiter than the cabinetry (unless, of course, the cabinets aren't any kind of white). I would suggest either matching the tile to the cabinets or going for something slightly darker in contrast.

We just installed the new white grimslov cabinets and are in installing Viatera Minuet counters on Wednesday!! I'm so excited (and very nervous!). Haven't started the backsplash or paint selection process because I wanted to see the countertops first, but also had the same question about the white subway tile. I'd love to hear what you decide.

FYI, the ikea kitchen guy who helped me said he compared the new shaker cabs to the old (Adel white) and there was no noticeable difference in color.

I am at the backsplash decision point as well. The boss wants white subway tile so that is more than likely what the decision will be. Going to get some samples and will two sided tape them on the wall to see how they look. Here's what I have so far (Microwave to go over stove next and cabinet over fridge after that...a bit of an oops in the original kitchen plan lol

Did anyone find a subway tile to match ikea's off white?

Yes, I've definitely given up on the idea of any sort of marble backsplash, it just doesnt work. We're going soapstone for our countertops.

From the picture, it looks to me like you could make the counters look whiter (less blue) by painting the walls a similar shade. Right now, the walls and the cabinets are reading truer white and making the counters appear blue. The downside to going with a ultra cool white on the walls is it will definitely make the cabinets appear more yellow...

I am in this same situation. My husband really wanted the Grimslov cabinets but I want the carrera looking marble backsplash with a white caesarstone. It seems it will be too white with these Grimslov cabinets. Any colour suggestions for Caesarstone light coloured countertops...and a marble back splash...but what colour....? I hate beige, I love grays....and I don't want subway tile, but I would do a random strip mosaic.

We remodeled this kitchen last summer. Bodbyn and matte white subway tiles. I was concerned about the 2 whites, but what we found was the bright white tiles sort of "tamed" the off-white, and works very well together. I wouldn't have done anything different. Add leathered finish granite and stainless appliances and it's a dream kitchen!

I've been scouring Houzz, thank you in advance for any/all help. I am in the middle of agonizing over whites. Similar dilemma but in reverse. I really want a white kitchen - pure white (Chantilly Lace BM) for the glossy cabinets + calcatta nuvo caesarstone for the counters...based on my research that they work well together. The subway tile i was going to use for backsplash is a bit of an offwhite and looks like a warmish undertone. Any thoughts/pics on whether that would work at all? I am going to reserve judgement and final decisions on backsplash until all the cabinets/counters are in... but I'm getting obsessive thinking about it!
