Some art work on either side of fireplace take the little table away and I would not put anything on the mantle it already looks too big for the rest of the surround. Maybe a couple of leather cubes for extra seating under the art work.

Built-ins flanking fireplace. If possible, put the TV in part of the built-in, and get a large piece of art for over the fireplace. Can you take a photo standing at the fireplace so we can see the opposite side of the room?
