I'm new to it all...

was talking to my neighbor whom apparently direct sows around this time in San Antonio 8b. She said her seedlings rarely freeze, but just in case just overseed. She also said she puts her seeds directly in the planters, or baskets they will be for the year. I want to try it, but i'm scared!!!!! lol

Does anyone have any experience doing it this way? It is still considered WSing? or just direct sowing while its just cold? I need to try something new as all my indoor starts are great, i just hate hate hate hardening off.
