Pray tell, what do you mean, "uninterrupted growth?" From what I've viewed on youtube about the Brazilian's culture of Obesums, this one appears to be one that when about 2 months old had it's tap root cut and terminal bud cut, so it branched out. Plus, the roots were raised along the way.

But on this one, the branches were not further pruned and allowed to grow tall. Please correct me if you think I'm wrong.

Adeniums grown in temperate zones go dormant in the winter. Growing them near the equator means these fantastic specimens have been growing all year round, i.e. the growth cycle is not interrupted by winter pause. In my zone, for example, the growth season is only about five months out of a year. Other areas have even shorter growing season.

It has nothing at all to do with pruning, which might slow them down but certainly not stop growth altogether.
