Port Wenn flowers (Doc. Martin show)

I see these pink flowers on the side of the road often on the Doc. Martin TV show - pbs anyone know what they are?

they seem to be common in Port Wenn (Port Isaac in real life)

Maybe Centranthus ruber also know as Jupiter's Beard?

Yes this has come up before in the perennials forum.

They are Centranthus, and in that mild, cool summer zn 9 climate are in bloom for most of the year.

The common name is Valerian, in Australia anyway. Grows in white, dark and light pink.
