help finding double oven range w induction

Hi,

I need some help finding a double oven 30" range with induction cooktop powered by electric.

The only one I can find so far is Electrolux and don't like that one because the smaller oven is on bottom.

Am I searching wrong?

Thanks.

I have that Electrolux. No way does that thing at the bottom actually count as an oven. I have always regarded it as a warming drawer that can get hotter.

What you want exists, but Whirlpool is the only game in town. I would recommend reading reviews before you buy, there have been some complaints of it randomly shutting down when many things are in use at once, like multiple cooktop burners and both ovens, for example.

If you want an induction top and 2 ovens, the optimal setup is a standard single oven range and a separate wall oven (what I have) or a cooktop and double wall ovens. Of course space and $$$ can be limiting factors if you go that route.

Another problem with the Whirlpool, for me, is that the larger oven is on the bottom. I (think I've) decided on a GE induction range and a 24" steam oven. (I haven't decided which one.)

    Try Samsung's newest.

Well, the OP prefers the smaller oven on top. Different strokes for different folks. Personally, I like the small oven on top as well. I know that if I bought one of those ranges I would be using the small oven most of the time because it would be quicker to preheat and heat up my kitchen less. The larger oven would be for those times when I needed to do a giant turkey or 3 racks of cookies at once, etc. Might as well have the most frequently used one be more convenient.

With the Electrolux I have now, I barely use the baking drawer because it is so inconvenient. Another limitation for me is that it is essentially useless for one of things I would want to do in it most: pizza. It *should* be perfect for pizza because you don't need a tall oven for that, but it only goes up to 450º and I prefer to cook pizza at higher temperatures.

I agree with the above advice to check out Samsung: they have one large oven in which you can install a special divider to split it into 2 smaller ovens.

My sister has the Whirlpool and I have written about it here on several occasions. They have had it shut down twice while in heavy use, but it Christmas they tried very hard to replicate that and it has not happened again. They otherwise like the range.

FWIW, I didn't have room for two ovens in my remodel and instead supplemented (based on advice here) with a Breville. Could not be happier. Such a great appliance -- NOT a toaster oven. Not by a long stretch. Bakes as well as my Electrolux oven, but much more efficiently.

Thanks for the great replies. I think we are headed towards a single oven induction range although I will look at the Samsung first. Then add the 240 Advantium OTR unit to give us the second oven. We don't have the space for wall ovens unfortunately. Does this setup work for others?
