Will this rug work

Ive going with a navy / white theme in my open kitch/dining/living room. Have white kitchen cab with 48" blue stove & have 2 of 3 piece solid navy living room set.

NOTE: living layout not certain but will be close to this.

Intended to do a navy and white / ivory rug in dining & living rooms but because dining room wall prints are quite big (two 33x44 frames), vibrant (pasted them and table into below photo) and in warm tones on a clay tan wall, concerned navy rug would be a mismatch / too cool color although if possible would really like to carry navy into this area thru rug if it will work.

Do you think below or a similarly striped rug would work in under table? If not, is it because the navy, the stripe or both being an issue.

I would never have carpeting under a dining table......food, crumbs, spills.

I think navy, white, and camel/tan/khaki is a classic color combination. Go for it!

You didn't ask about size, but make sure the rug is about 4 feet larger than the table in each dimension so there is adequate room for the chairs to move without catching the edge of the rug. Example: if your table is 3' x 6', the rug ought to be 7' x 10'.

to me, it's the blue and white stripe that's the issue---- don't think it would be the best choice. I think a navy patterned rug would work, tho not sure about navy and white...

I think your striped rug goes especially well with the great prints you have selected for the wall. Very clever on your part.

We'll suggest to properly measure the dimensions of rug then go for it as you have a big dining table. What about placing a bamboo silk rug? It is strong and abrasion resistant too.
