Many people have trouble envisioning what spaces will be used for. Staging helps clarify this. A decent-looking fake plant might be a nice touch, but a dusty, sad one will just be depressing and not really help a potential buyer make a decision.

I think it's the wicker base that seems outdates to me too. If it were in a prettier pot it would look more updated. Maybe a little dusting will help! Thanks!
