I bought a new snake plant today, and while I'm familiar with many succulent-type plants, this one is new to me. I'm planning on re-potting it into a slightly larger pot ASAP, however, my question is about the pups it has produced. They're large, and seem to be about the same size as the mother plant and are stretching the sides of the flimsy plastic pot. Is keeping the pups attached an aesthetic preference, or is their attachment detrimental/beneficial to the plant as a whole? I'm aware that smaller pups become the focus of the snake plant and can use most of the energy to grow larger. Would removing the small pups return the focus to the mother plant? At this size is there any reason to leave or remove them besides to alter the appearance? Thank you!
