I really really have a hard time reading the posts and agree with EQ2. I can find worm cocoons no problem but I get dizzy reading these texts.

PLEASE PLEASE "if there is somewhere else better feel free to let me, us know.""

4Wow. I have lurked and learned in the GW forums for a couple years now. This houzz stuff is ugly. To top it off, my user name was taken and I had to change it. The new user name says it all!

    Wow, this is confusing.

And Im not referring to the worms.

I just noticed that posts stay in the order they were written. So this sinks down with every new post as opposed to rising up again when a post is added. Not good. This method does not work for our forum.

My report from the Vegetable Forum: I felt we were sort of invited so I checked it out. Some quotes from their Winter of Discontent: "ZachS. z5 Littleton, CO Size limit of posts is absolutely ridiculous! To say that all previous posts are right here is an egregious overstatement when half of them get cut off mid-sentence. So much valuable information is now lost forever because Houzz has deemed it "too much" what a shame." "floral_uk z.8/9 SW UK I agree. I got some bloody garden gnome for ages and then all Hades broke loose. There's nowhere to put your zone. To fit the site onto the screen the print has to be tiny and it's grey. Lots of us are at the reading glasses stage and grey type with no borders around the posts make it very hard to read. Also there are no links between the Forums. You have to go back to the full list every time you change forum. Pix take an age to upload and you can only put 4 per post. But you can delete posts." "theforgottenone1013- MI zone 5b/6a I also just noticed that any text formatting that was done in a post is now gone. So if someone quoted something and italicized the quote, it's not anymore. Makes it look like the person wrote it all themself. Also dislike that you can't preview your comment before submitting it. And the unanswered threads aren't staying at the top of the forum page anymore. They are going to be buried." "writersblock Yes, what injfarm said. Sites like Houzz and facebook put tracking cookies on your computer that watch all your internet activity, even when you're not logged into the sites, in order to collect (mine) that data and sell it to advertisers." "therealcheapheap I am fairly surprised that you actually were able to reach someone who could sell the site to you." "theforgottenone1013- MI zone 5b/6a I don't like a lot of the changes here but after spending some time browsing around yesterday I'm going to stay. Rodney" "Emily Hurley You are seeing a lot of Houzz folks currently in the forums right now answering questions, because of this initial transition with all the questions coming from the community. Our team here is extremely dedicated to helping the GardenWeb community settle in with as few hiccups as we can muster, so you are seeing a lot more people from our team participating in the forums than you will generally see during normal times, simply because they are excited you are here." Well, I'm not excited to be here. True that we were complaining about things we couldn't do on the old GW forum. And now it's even LESS than what we were able to do and had. YUK BUMMER YUK

So much for trying to keep barbara's post on top. It's sinking real fast.

I see the Spammers are here BUT it's easy to report them. There's a flag to report as Spam, or an inappropriate post. I used it.

To change your screen name to your old one of former glory, go to My Houzz, Edit Profile and type in your username under Public Name.

Barbara, is there any progress on moving to another forum? If so please let me know. I've learned a great deal from this group as I began vermicomposting last year. I'd hate to lose this for me and for other new wormies.
