You can adjust the profile photo that shows with your posts by clicking where you see Your Houzz in the upper right corner of the page, then click Edit profile to change your photo or any of the other information displayed on your profile. Hope that helps!

I like Houzz, but I do not visit them as often because I think they are too controlling. If you do not sign in, annoying messages start to pop up. Same with pictures. you can not save them, well I know how to go around that but why do the make it difficult?

Hope this is not the case with the forums.

I notice that once you manage to find these threads and open one, it doesn't remain highlighted if you skip to another and want to return.

HTML has been disabled, too, to promote uniformity. So no underlining, italics, boldface, different type sizes, colour permitted. Memorial gardens vs. traditional cemetery.

An incredible five and a half million (!) pics by pros trolling for assignments. Attracts lots of eyes. And that's what counts for the proprietors.

You can go back to having worthy as a user name... change it in your account up top.

Someone also took my name, so I got stuck with AlexHouse-GW. Now look at how my name appears at the top of this comment. You too can reclaim your name, all you need to do is go to the profile section and put Worthy in as your first name. You'll still need to log in as worthy-gw, but you'll appear as Worthy with all of your comments

I wonder how amateurs like myself will mingle with the pros, or if the pros will tend to steer clear of amateur forums. Is there a moderator around while the two services blend together? I really want it to work. For garden interests, I considered GWeb the best around for all kinds of gardening needs. HGTV short changed gardeners, if you watched that TV channel. Is TV on the horizon for HOUZZ? :) Maybe a 5 to 15 minute weekly video online for quickly keeping everyone aware of what is going on.
