Hello. Why don't you like it?

zurk42 - How can we help make the transition easier? Is there something that isn't working for you?

tons. how about giving my old username back for starters ? it was zurk.

and no i cant edit my profile and change it either.

It looks like there was already a zurk registered on Houzz, so that is why your login has changed. BUT, and this is good news, you CAN change your display name. That is the name that others will see when you post. You do change it in your profile settings, but you aren't changing the Account Information you need to change your Profile Information. Screenshot below of what you should see. Let me know how it goes!

uuh no there is no zurk registered on Houzz....

great now im zurk but since there was no zurk on houzz i dont understand why my username is different. people can just change their username based on profile first names ? so there can be hundreds of zurks on houzz ?

also the activity tracker is broken/slow updating.

Zurk - there actually is another zurk on Houzz - http://www.houzz.com/user/zurk . Yes, we could all change our display names to zurk (that would be fun!) but if you click on each zurk, it will take you to that person's profile page and you would be able to see who that person really is.

Zurk- did you ever register in Houzz under a different email. That is what happened to me so, I followed Tamara's directions and I am back as A2gemini

Tamara- thanks for adding original post date of thread with the thread title. Small steps at a time. Now to get GW to take up less real estate and get rid of green font in the thread names...

I actually prefer the green color for the thread titles - makes it much easier to navigate if you're using the forum a lot. Houzz "Advice" forums are structured in a way that lends itself to browsing a lot of topics, fast, and it's nice to have a visual divider between the content blocks.

But, that's just a personal preference ;)
