Barbararose21101, & I (rarely), post & look in on compost tea@yahoogroups.com & I once posted on vermicomposting@yahoogroups.com which has faded into nothingness but still exists. Pretty good @ one time......

We just might build that baby back?

    Hi,

If a forum has disappeared in the transition - please keep me posted, I need the exact name of the old forum. I've never heard of a vermi-eden forum.

    Thanks,

    Ofir @ houzz.

How 'bout Permies.com? Bet if I asked Paul he would set us up right with our own forum. Maybe we should have been there all along.

Please let me know if a new forum gets started. The posters in this forum helped me go from newby to not so newby.

I like the Pemies.com site and so I registered today. Lots of interesting topics and info can be found there. Seems like a good crowd also.

    Good luck and Happy Wormin'

I'm a long time lurker there and sometime poster. Not with this name. The only problem there is there are so many topics of interest to me that the day just goes by. Now that I think about it... Paul is not too hot on composting. He feels there are better ways to do it than composting. So maybe vermicomposting might not be his thing. I'm sure we will solve this soon. I smell smoke so I am fairly certain there are wheels turning.

I've been spending some time over at the RedwormComposting site on Facebook. The one thing I didn't like about the internet site was that people would ask questions and Bentley (the Expert) would answer them. Here there is no one expert, just a group of people (like ourselves). So that might be an option (to integrate into another forum).

greengrass12 I would not doubt that. He is a pretty inquisitive guy. He lives and breaths composting of different types. He probably spends the time on the topics and hands on and and learned a lot quickly. I feel he is a leader in the topic. Homemade manure, did the prototype hanging jeans that spawned the Worm Inn, working with people on their flow through designs, burying tons of grocery scraps, he has really made a well deserved place for himself.

On another topic. Permies.com Paul Wheaton, not our Paul aka pskvorc, insists all posters... ... be nice. I'm not sure but they might have to sing Kumbaya while smiling, too. However, swearing might be allowed. It might even be a requirement. Paul Wheaton also is not a big fan of compost. He feels too much is lost to the air and there is better ways to put the material to work in the system. At least that is my interpretation of it. I am not sure how he feels about vermicompostig. My guess is he would feel it is too much work. I'm not sure I could meet the be nice requirement. However I bet we could get them to switch from Kumbaya to The Hearse Song. I could inquire there if anybody thinks we would fit in with their culture.
