I would consider relocating the wing chair; beCh style is casual, cozy, and lots of textures in neutrals and cool accents like beach glass colors.

Agree about art and also the dark wood tables could be relocated or painted white.

Thank you for the suggestions, here are a few more pics of the room. The room is about 12 X 12 feet ant the front part is a walk through to the master bedroom. That is why all the seating is on one side of the room.

Wow, nobody's feeling the metal art? Here is a few more, hard to get angles of all sides as it's a small room. I definitely want to switch out the rug and get another lamp for the other table (is it ok to mismatch lamps?) I'm thinking I need more color. I really appreciate the feedback.

Ok, I have a feeling that I should lower the art work. I must have felt I had to hang them high as the ceiling is pretty tall. I guess I'm kinda going for a contemporary casual beach house look. What kind of rug should I get and window treatments? Again, I'm loving the feed back.

The rug is fine unless you want a wave print or color.

I could replace the sidde tables. what kind of window treatments would you guys suggest. As you can see into the house from the street, I would like to have something.

Either do linen or/ and bamboo. The drapes will work with bamboo. Bamboo comes in shades or panels.

I noticed that your colors are fighting one another. You have the beach photo on the wall with yellows, reds, and orange and then the rest of the decor is neutrals, blues, and greens. I would suggest picking one color theme to go with and start there. Love the pillows you have, so I would suggest going with the green and blues. Pottery Barn always has the best beach themed decor. I would also go with the beach themed decor, but not in a cheesy way. Don't go for the over obvious beach decor, do it in a more elegant way. I also love the lamp you have, it's perfect for the space.

I like your wall color, it's warm like the sun. Roaman shades are fine, the con: when down can't see out.

Some beach pillows would add a beach feel!

I have to agree that wall art if fighting the look I think you are trying to achieve- maybe you can use it somewhere else in the house.

If you want to base your beachy feel off of the sunset picture, I'd decorate the room in warm sunset colors - oranges or peaches and accent with a pop of teal or aqua. Perhaps re-upholstering the wing back chair with a more casual fabric would work. Add some cozy pillows and a throw to the sofa. A sisal rug on the floor. I think I'd avoid painting the furniture white if you went in this direction. White would make the room breezy and shabby chic, while something darker would give the feel of being a modern beachy feel. Have fun with this project. I'd love to have a sun room in my house.

I think that incorporating Vintage Rugs would go a long way and help tie in everything together in the space (less formal) ... along the lines of Scandinavian Rugs

Iwant to thank everyone for the suggestions. I have to agree with what everyone is saying. We tend to buy stuff on impulse with out considering how they would tie into the look we are trying to achieve. Please keep it coming and I will update as I make changes.

The art over the small sofa is too big, too dark and hung too high. Lower all your art so that it's about 5 or 6 inches over sofa or chair. Don't hang art even with a door jamb or tops of windows.
