My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

What color are the walls? Also, stain on the floor if possible would appreciate if you would tell if it's a redish stain or more of a special walnut color?

    The wood is from Allegheny Mountain Hardwood Flooring. It's a white oak Live Sawn. The grain patterns have a mix of the plain sawn and rift & quarter sawn characteristics.

    The stain was done by an installer in the Chicago area. It's a 4-5 step process and they don't give us too many details on how it's done. We can however get you this floor as a semi prefinished. The will have the edges scraped and flooring stained, it will just need installed and a top finish coat once installed.

    They used a random width pattern here. 3", 4", 5", 6", 7". This is actually a greener option as well. The random width utilizes more of each log.
