I would suggest you try Fortex for a completely stringless pole bean. Production has been outstanding for me and you can let them get quite long.

Great taste and they freeze well. Some have mentioned they're not the best for canning, but I personally haven't canned any.

I tried Emerite but found it could be rather fiberous if they get too long.

We love rattlesnake,tenderandgreat flavor,many of ours get eaten raw!

I'm going to try Santa Anna pole beans. I've heard that they're totally stringless, but can't confirm since I haven't tried them yet. I also have heard good things about Fortex. Those are on my list this year as well.

Grew Selma Star last year and it was outstanding. Earliest pole snap, huge production all summer long. Stringless, flavourful, everything you'd want in a green bean.

Selma Star was a crop failure here but the few that grew were fine quality.

Monte Cristo does very well here.

I grew Anellino Giallo last year, which produced very well even in shade and was totally stringless even when quite mature & lumpy.

Fortex. Available from Jonnies Selected Seeds. Prolific and tender up to 8 inches long. Pick early for fillet beans.
