How to post multiple photos like we did before?

I tried one and it did not work. Can anyone help? I post them from my own web page--or I should say, I did.

Kathy, I was hoping someone else would answer, because I don't know how you have your pictures stored. Mine are in a file in my computer, so when I click on photo in the left hand corner, it takes me directly to my photos, which are filed in folders by date, then I open the folder I want and then click on the photo I want to post, then click on open and it places it here. But I don't know how it works if your pictures are stored differently. I hope you are able to figure it out soon, I sure enjoy your roses, they're gorgeous! I honestly think I lucked out on the picture part, because I usually feel like I'm fumbling around in the dark when it comes to something like this.

Sara ann, thanks for your response. From what I gather, there are two ways to post photos. The Houzz way, which limits photo size and limits the number of photos to four per post. But I see Beth and others have posted more than four photos, so I think there is still the second option, posting photos that are on a web site. This is the way I always did it, not worrying about file size. So, could anyone let me know how this is being done now?

I don't know about the "Houzz Photo" button because I haven't tried it yet. But with the regular "Photo" insert button you are supposed to be able to post up to ten photos, one at a time, from your computer. It is no longer possible to use html code from places like Photobucket to post photos. I'm not very happy with this system because it's very hard to use and time consuming if you want to post a lot of pictures. Beside that, today I can't seem to post more than one photo in any post. This place has more bugs than a garbage dump!

Thanks, seil! That is what I needed to hear. Or really, not what I wanted to hear! I have been on garden web for so long. My thoughts are, if it works, please don't fix it. I hate that its changed. I long for the days of Spike and Disneyland, even though I was once sent to Disneyland!

Trust me, a lot of us are very unhappy with this new place. There are a bunch of threads already started on several forums about how unhappy people are with the new format. I suppose eventually we'll get used to it but it sure don't feel like home right now!

Sorry...I posted the above of Sally Holmes..my first photo post! I have been trying to figure this out.I am going to try again to see if I can do it!

So let me try to post something here.

That wasn't hard. But how to post two or more?

Didn't put the names on. Oh well, you probably are tired of my same roses!

Never tired of them, Kathy, they're beautiful!

I'm going to borrow your test post to see if I can post more than one pick with out haveing to submit and edit for each photo/

    Nope still not working.

The problem is it won't open the photo insert box the second time. Support says it's a browser issue but the first few days I could post up to 4 pics in a post. It wasn't until they changed it to 10 pics per post that it stopped working.

I hope someone can help me please. I'm trying to post a photo on the kitchen forum. One photo, that's it. I hit the photo icon below, pull up my desktop where my picture is, click on it & hit "open". It does nothing! What am I doing wrong? I thought this was going to be so easy! I'm using a mac air, if that has anything to do w/ it.

Thanks in advance for your help!

It's probably a glitch (or gremlins in the system). I think that has been happening a lot to people lately. :/

Thanks Brittie. If there is a glitch, I hope they figure this out fast. I need help w/ a decision & sooner than later would be nice!!

    Testing--not that I've been having problems posting pics, but . . .

    That's Mystic Beauty.

    The next one is Eutin.

Hmmm--had a heck of a time getting the computer to let go of the first address (for Mystic Beauty) so that I could click on this Eutin pic--but it finally worked.

    Other than that, no problems.

Seil, do you initially save your pics in large sizes--and that is why GW/Houzz asks you to make them smaller? When I first upload pics to my files, I change them all to about 640 x 480, and I see one that is 911 x 650. GW/Houzz has never questioned my sizes. Other than the problem I mentioned above (and that's the first time I have had that problem), I find it quite easy to post pics--though I've had to move a number of my photobucket pics back to my computer files so that I can access them on these forums.

Looks like it worked great, Jim. Those are some beauties!

I've since been able to upload more than one photo by using the "Houzz Photo" button instead of the regulare "photo" button. I don't know what the difference is but it seems to work so...
