I grow several types but always end up in hanging pots . Have never been able to get them to root directly to a tree except for the large types. In terrariums they always rotted. They definitely need to dry between waterings . give it a try and see what happenns ?? gary

1. They get too big for the average terrarium.

2. If growing epiphytically, they would in all likelihood require much more frequent watering than when grown potted.

3. Good air circulation is harder to achieve in a terr than in a pot in a room -- the lack of which results in mold/rot.

4. They need pretty good lighting ... something many folks find difficult to achieve in a terr.
