Just heard from Jean

Changing from the old Gardenweb to Houzz and the signing up for it is giving her problems. As I said yesterday, I was afraid it would. I emailed her, and heard from her today. I will try to hep her until she gets signed on.

The new Houzz really is a big change, took me a bit to work out just finding the forum, then forced to change my name a bit, etc. I need to get back on & add my zone

I am having trouble with the zone thing. When I add my zone, it doesn't recognize it, and when I used the zone look up function, it is wrong. My zone changed from seven to eight when the zones were reworked, but this keeps putting seven in for my zone.

I'm hoping Jean finds her way here. Thanks Kay for helping her!

Kay: You have to go to Edit Profile, Advanced Settings and scroll down to
where it says "Climate Zone for Garden Forums" and just input your zone
in the box and then click on Update. No need to click on the lookup button or use the words Zone. Just add whatever number you want. It will show up next to your name with parenthesis like it is showing now with yours being (8). Hope that helps and I miss Jean. Maybe her daughter will help her too. She is so funny and I do love her posts. :)

Nancy, did you manage to find the gardenweb forums on the houzz homepage? I've spent ages looking and still can't find a link.

Go to advice on the top right of the page. after you click on it, look to the left, and scroll down and you will see Gardenweb forums. Click that, and then scroll down to Daylily forum

I have only tried posting comments so far. Have yet to try starting a thread or post pics.

But the problem I had initially when I just opened Gardenweb (and saw Houzz) was that I was trying to sign in with my GW name (in the upper right corner) and it wouldn't let me! I almost gave up.. but then accidentally found that big green button that says Confirm Your GW Account ;) And thankfully that worked! Zone appeared on its own I didn't do anything.

Here is the link to all garden forums and that's where the Confirm button is.

I hope Jean will join us soon!

Well the GardenWeb topics in the advice area hasn't been there very long. I think it was 2 days ago when I last looked and couldn't find anything. It's good that they've updated the website.

Still working with Jean. I'm confident we will succeed, but the new process is giving her trouble
