So... I have had my Plumerias down the basement for the winter. They sit in front of a west facing window so get quite a bit of light. The temperature usually hovers around 50 down there. I have been keeping them on the dry side all winter. My Celadine has three nice healthy looking new growth tips coming... Along with the shriveling inflo from last fall. My Mardi Gras has looked fine all winter, but in the past couple weeks it seems like the growth tip is getting a bit soft when gently squeezed. It's still green, just not nearly as firm as the ones on Celadine. Do I need to worry about this? I lost a plumeria last winter when the tip turned black and died back, and I'm afraid this may be the case again. Any advice would be helpful. I work at a greenhouse, and do have an out of the way corner for them. I could give them an "early spring" if that would be beneficial for them. Please advise...
