From a design standpoint, do all of the windows on the front of the house need to be the same? We are slowly updating our windows. I guess I didn't think through what I wanted when we replaced the downstairs windows on the far ends with single hung ones so I would love some advice. I'm drawn to the look of French doors/windows, but then they won't match the two single hung ones downstairs. Hubby doesn't care much for framing that blocks the view/sunlight. I think the single hung ones are kind of boring and would like to bring more visual interest to the house which I think more framing on the windows would do. Or maybe we just need to do some windows upstairs that have as little framing as possible to match? Eventually I'd like to replace the front door and replace the bow window next to it with french doors that would match the front door. Behind the Ohio State flag is a picture window (don't hold it against me, it will be removed once hubby is done relishing their recent victory) .
