12 x 12 Living Room

Hi Houzzers, I'm trying to plan a 12x12 living room from scratch. I'd appreciate your advice about window and door placement and furniture arrangement as well. Thanks a lot.

That's a tall order. I think you should find a local designer. Anyone can design a 12x12 living room in a box for a design class but there is so much more to consider in a real world space.

There are many things to consider when designing a room. How is the room going to be used? How many people will be using the room? Then you need to figure out furniture layout to make sure where you decide to put windows and doors makes sense. One of the biggest mistakes I see in new construction is space planning. Don't get me wrong the homes are beautiful however they are not as functional as they could be.
