Best Dual Fuel Slide In?

Is it possible to purchase a decent dual duel slide in for $3000 or less?

If so, what are your recommendations?

I also originally wanted a dual fuel slide in but I had already selected my other appliances (Kitchen Aid) so I gave up my slide in because KA did not make a slide in and I wanted my SS to match since my fridge is so close to it. I have to say, my range/oven is one of my favorite parts of my kitchen! I went with the Architect Series II 6.7 cu. ft. Double Oven Dual Fuel Range with Self-Cleaning Convection Oven in Stainless Steel (for under 2K) and LOVE IT! With three kids and a DH that works from home, and eats three meals a day at home, I do a ton of cooking, it works hard but looks clean at all times. I love having the smaller upper oven because it preheats in minutes and uses less energy because it's heating a smaller space. I do 90% of my cooking in that part, which also spares my larger, bottom oven from ever getting dirty. I know this isn't helpful if you're set on a slide-in but if you can't find what you want, you should consider this a strong contender.

I'm actually not set on a slide in. I thought it would give a cleaner look, but your set up looks fantastic.

Wow, that double oven looks awesome.

I was considering doing a second single oven in the kitchen, but this may eliminate the need for that.

    Thank you so much!

Here is another angle of its profile....Very clean and sleek looking. It also has a warming setting which I love. I can cook dinner early to have it ready, and just slide it in the top oven on "warm" to keep it hot until food is ready to put on the table. Good luck, glad I opened you up to other options :)

I have a Bosch dual fuel slide in that I picked up at the bargain price of <$1400 from Sears Outlet (Retails for $2200 or so). It's been great other than it having one manufacturing defect with the door hinges - That was a $150 swap out I did myself - And I think it's been corrected in the current models. Otherwise love it and was thrilled with the price

I have this one, but it's a few years old, so it looks slightly different: http://www.frigidaire.com/Kitchen-Appliances/Ranges/Gas-Range/FPGS3085PF/

I'm happy with it, but I bought it just as an appliance replacement, not as part of a remodel, so I was simply looking for a 30", and I knew I wanted dual-fuel. I didn't know anything beyond that, and did no research!

I originally thought I wanted one with a smaller oven on top, but my SIL had one and advised against it. It wasn't really big enough for her to use to bake in on a regular basis, and it made the other oven smaller and less functional. But, we are in Utah, and our family sizes run a little bigger than average. ;)

So, yes, I ended up with only one oven, but the warming drawer comes in handy when we are having family parties. I bake a ton, and really have no complaints.

(I didn't even realize it was a slide-in when we bought it... I was * so* clueless! In fact, we had a gap behind it until we finally renovated our kitchen last summer and got new counters!)

rebeccamom - does the smaller upper oven accommodate more than one oven rack?

Jalit - nope - it's a single rack upstairs. However, I cook more than bake. And it fits an extra large cookie sheet. I have three kids so I use it A LOT for making chicken tenders, pizza, lasagna, I can even roast a whole chicken in just the upper. Plenty of room. However, you won't fit two racks up there. But you will fit 2 below so for heavy duty baking or entertaining, you can have three racks going at one time with two different temp options. When we entertain I often have apps baking in the upper oven while the meal is cooking at a different temp in the lower.
