Roll call please

Just wondering how many of us made the change to Houz.

Would like to send Budster another package too!

Well, I'm here and I hope a bunch more made the transition.

I'm here. Never heard of this 'houzz' before--wonder why GW morphed into this site? Sorta diff and I'm not so comfortable getting around yet, but things change and we go with the flow.

I have made the transition to here from GW. My name used to be laurie_2008 & now it's just Laurie.
Yes, it's different & will take some time to feel comfortable, again. I have not posted any pics, yet. I see the little camera/photo icon below. I'll get brave one day and try it out.

Me too,I'm figuring it out slowly. My name is still the same.I never heard of this Houzz before the change over, but I guess it's a big business,as I see ads in the newspaper for their different things.Who knew??

I don't adapt well to changes like this, but no other alternative, I guess, if you want some answers. I liked it better as GardenWeb. Barb_roselover_IN

    I'm mostly a lurker...but I am here...lurking!

Me too. Still new at this and sewing room is packed up because I need the room for storage for renovation that's about to start. Hopefully I can squeeze some space so I can work on a baby quilt for July.

I've been around for years but don't post often here, though I love sewing and do a lot of it. The camera on my kindle won't work or I'd post a picture of my latest creation, a Frozen dress full of sparkles for my 3 1/2 yo gdtr. She's going to faint when she sees it!

I think we'll all get used to this new place. Maybe the pace will even pick up on this forum. Wouldn't that be nice?

i finally got on wish it was like before minnie

I was on both sites when they merged (City_Chick on GW) but not an active poster in either. The quality of the users & posts was always the best on GW so I hope everyone continues more of that.

I'm a lurker too. Like to sew but no one to sew for.

    Do mostly cross stitch.

I also "lurk" most of the time, but changed over (unhappily) to the new system because I found helpful and useful tips in many of the previous forums. Hoping the new system/postings are as good as the old.

I like that you can "like" things now but the new format not so much. Took me 3 tries to get in here this morning. Nothing we can do about change but change with it I guess.

It has been a while since I have been here and for sure new to this board

finally got here dont llllllike or understand it yet
  • 11 years ago

I've been here a long time but still don't care for this. It is hard to read with it being so light. Don't come here as often as before..

I have been mostly lurking here myself, received an email about the new move. I recently added a little green machine 21A Viking Husqvarna early 50's and have been learning it.

Glad a few of us have made the "switch". I haven't learned all the ins and outs of Houz yet, but it's coming.

Sure wish I could "find" Budster.

Finally found my way back to GW only to find it had changed so much! Now I am inundated with emails telling me about new posts. (During the summer, that's fine. But come the start of the school year, those emails will be deleted before I even read them.)

Mostly I lurk, especially during the school year.

Donna, you can stop receiving emails by clicking to switch off notifications. It is located just under the text box.

I also visited the Garden Webb site and find this format nothing special. I try to adapt but it would nice if I could see where the improvements are. Like GW it is still a very slow forum. I was under the name Liddybuff but here it just shows my picture. My name is Frances. I am a long time seamstress, polymer clay user, purse maker, beadweaver and jewelry maker . I also have to admit to being a sewing machine addict.

Liddybuff, aren't you the one that made all the Barbie clothes??

I come over here and look every now and then, but it doesn't move very fast.I've been at GW since late 1999.I hang out mostly on the cactus and succulent forum, but drop in on many others.
