I am "winter sowing" things now. I have a bunch of milk jugs sitting in the bed where I harvested the carrots. They are sheltered from wind and dogs for now. I have a couple dozen more things to sow this way if I can come up with enough containers. I haven't decided if I want to do tomatoes that way this year or not. Bur if I do, it will be in March. I have onions and potatoes I need to plant. Let's face it I have TOO MANY seeds and they all need to get started! Having a panic attack here. Sigh.

I like winter-sowing in jugs and things, but I'm sporadic with my routine and find I had to water many last year. It was so dry. Watering is in no way convenient at my place. The jugs and containers end up all over the place after the season. I'm too messy with it. I put a bunch of seeds .. probably about 15 different flowers and plants into the frig for cold strat. I have better luck with this. (so far)

I would plant a Crawdad or two if my ground would support me.

My crawdads are volunteers. We had a beagle puppy once who cornered one. Sniff sniff...baarrrroooo...click click (claws) sniff sniff...baarrroooo
