I have a traditional home in Katy, Tx. (suburb of Houston) that I am trying to make more contemporary, without looking out of place and working with what I have and the neighborhood I am in. I want to replace my front door, interior doors, windows and potentially converting some windows to doors etc. I have searched all over the web for a contemporary door/window company in Houston with no avail. I only find traditional door companies in Houston. Should I look for an architect for this project? I am not excited about paying a huge architect fee, but I also want to make sure the project is done well, and gives a contemporary feel without contrasting with the traditional aspect of the home.
