Newbie at grafting tomatoes

I'm completely new to the procedure (also new to Tomatoes Forum) and would love to have any ideas available. Have purchased rootstock seeds and see that others have suggested merely using a variety that does well for rootstock (as Celebrity, which is a great producer in my garden). This year I'll use the seeds I've purchased for rootstock and would move on to other reliables later. My goal is to avoid early blight and increase yield.

I also wonder if the tomato rootstock would work with pepper and eggplant, being of the same genus.

Thanks to anyone for a mere description of procedures.
