help, is main gable too flat/not enough dimension?
Will this front elevation work, or do you think the main gable doesn't have enough dimension? IGNORE the brick and stone combo, we are doing only brick with a little shake. Worried that the main gable doesn't have enough going on? I haven't been able to find any homes tat look similar to this look. Shooting for a traditional home, want to make sure I am sticking with that style.... Thanks in advance!

9 years agolast modified: 9 years agoVery Nice. The 14 pitch looks nice with the hip/gable combo. I would suggest to go with a 8" fascia/gutter board and making your shadow boards a 12" w/10" reveal. In the gables that you brick run soldiers at the shadow boards, turn the bricks to stand up. Totally agree with ^^ make sure all your brick is returned 2' at the corners, FYI your foundation will need to be setup properly to accomplish this. Good luck looks Great! If you look at the gables of the first home I've attached you can see the brick soldiers in the gables. The second home shows the larger fascia and shadow boards and how it looks with steeper pitched roofs.
