Bathroom color suggestions

I just had my room painted this dark grey and wasn't sure what color I should put in the bathroom. Do I need to tie the grey into the restroom somehow or should I do something completely different? We had the painters start off with the grey, but decided it would make the already small bathroom feel even smaller than it is. The countertop, cabinets and flooring are going to be taken out and replaced with a tannish/white granite and dark wood.

If you choose a colour now, then it might not be the best colour to go with the granite you eventually purchase. Please wait and choose the colour after the granite is selected.

No, the gray is too dark for your bathroom, which I can see where the painter's cut in. Don't choose a paint colour until you have the granite, or at least a sample of it you can work with. Then choose a light gray/beige that tones with the granite.

perhaps a dove eggshell colour?

Cynthia is totally correct ~ paint color should always be chosen LAST. Too many people get impatient & paint first, then get stuck trying to match paint, when it should be the other way around. It's possible this color could work, but if you do go dark, paint your ceiling (including the slanted walls/ceiling) 2 hues lighter than the walls to keep it congruent & feeling larger.

Wait to match the new vanity. Also depends on what colors you'll use for accessories and linens. Add a color you love that works with gray and beiges of the granite top. A few shades lighter of the gray would be safe but a a pop of plum, teal or red could spice up the gray room.

This is the color of the granite we're going with. It's hard to see, but there is some maroon-ish specks throughout the entire slab. Should I try a beige color for the paint and then maybe tie in grey and maroon linens?

Something like Benjamin Moore CC-430 MOCCASIN or OC-7 CREAMY WHITE would be nice and warm and a good contrast with the bedroom. I would buy pure white towels for a clean, unfussy spa look. If you want to add some maroon, do that with a piece of artwork or other accessory. Neutral colours will make the granite stand out as the beautiful feature it deserves to be.

I tell you what would look really good. You can use any brand. Preferably satin. But any how. Walmart has a color that is called old Groucho trail. Very nice color. Goes with everything.

Patience is the key to getting the look you want. Paint can be custom mixed, granite can't!

Jerry is talking about Old Goucho Trail. Google images of it and you'll see different companies make different shades of it. Basically in the greige family.
