This is such an gorgeous kitchen design! There is so much room in it and the colors look great together. The cabinets are so unique and I would love to have a kitchen just like this. http://www.mapleridgewoodcraft.ca/en/

I just stopped and brought home a sample of the paint on the walls. It looks nothing like the picture. The lady at Home Depot told me that the number is changed to PPU7-3. What I have for a sample looks brown in the shaded areas and green in the light. Is this the correct sample... the name on the sample says "macchiato".

Also will the gray stain look totally different on oak?

    help !!

    Hi Renita,

It is possible that the color profile for Behr's Macchiato has been updated, but it should have stayed true to the original color.

More likely than not, the lighting in your home is different than the lighting in this kitchen. True Value has written a great article on understanding how light affects the appearance of paint: https://www.truevalueprojects.com/paint/interior/color_advice/how_light_affects_paint_color.aspx

We would recommend taking a few photos of how the color looks on your walls and bringing them in to show the paint specialist at your local hardware store. They should be able to adjust the tint of the paint in order to combat the green that is showing up!

If you continue to run into trouble, just let us know. We'll be happy to help!

Is there a stain on the cabinet color smokey hills? Sepia? Do you know what cabinet door style was used?

    Hi Khoff,

The Smokey Hills stain is only applied by Omega Cabinetry as it is their private color. There are two door styles here, Halifax and Lorient. Which one were you curious about?

    Good morning Cherroun,

The lighter countertops along the perimeter of this kitchen are Silestone Cosentino “Unsui” and the darker countertops on the island are Silestone Cosentino “Nuit Bleue.”

    We hope this helped!

I have waxed chalk paint my sister in law painted. See below. I don't know how to remove wax. And, I know they're 40 years old, however the biggest change I can do is to try to get what I call olive green or olive khaki into something remotely matching the paint.
