Hello everyone. I am currently trying to furnish my house and I am STRUGGLING!!! In my head I know what I want the space to look like, but I'm having trouble finding reasonably priced items and pulling the trigger on purchases (I am super scared things won't go together).

I just installed the chandelier and finished a little DIY project (the millwork on the walls) and painted the top slate grey (Ben Moore Wrought iron). I have an old rug that seems to work with the cream of the millwork/walls and the grey, but it by no means has to stay in the space.

So where do you come in??? I need help with:

CHAIRS: I'm thinking of doing 2 larger head chairs and then 4-6 side chairs! Don't want to pay an arm and a leg, so I'd love some middle of the road options! Love fabric and tufted pieces but I'm open to pretty much anything!

WINDOW TREATMENTS: would love to bring in some color in the window treatments but don't know if that will conflict with the current scheme.

OTHER IDEAS?

Credenza or a hutch? Don't know if one will fit the space. Right now the rug/table are centered in the room. thinking I could maybe move it towards the other end and make room, but I'm worried it will crowd the space. What do you all think?

Art/Mirrors? Would love to add but there is only 3 feet of all space above the trim and I think it will look funny and also compete with the trim work on the walls.

I would GREATLY appreciate any thoughts, ideas, comments, etc! I love bold/deep colors and my design style is TRANSITIONAL and HOLLYWOOD REGENCY! I'd love to have this room look high-end but on a budget!! Thank you for your time!!
