How do you edit out a photo??

Does anyone know how to remove a photo once it's in your thread? Editing the text is simple but I haven't figured out how to remove a photo without deleting the entire post and starting again.

For me it works, at least if there is text above and below the picture.
I simply mark the picture in between, like a text, then I press [DEL]

It does not work for me, but will try again.

Move the Mouse to the upper left corner of the picture, click Left once, the click again, keep Mouse-Left clicked-on, and move from the upper left corner of the picture into the picture and then release Mouse-Left. Then the picture will be marked

Let us see if it works

    Now to delete middle picture

    Step one, submit

    Step 2 click edit

step three click upper left corner and an enlarged picture of the same appears on the right, after completing the other steps, the picture does not get marked and on submitting this is what you post.

The middle picture is still there

    Detailed instructions are requested

    Arif,

Did you press Edit before you tried to delete the photo? I have done that and everything else that you have done and have had no success either, but I know someone will come up with the answer if there is one; I suppose it's possible that one can only change the text but can not remove a picture...(??)

I suppose that if one pressed Delete it would remove the entire thread, pictures as well as text but of course that's not what we want to do is it.

    Okay then try the following:
    First, position mouse outside picture
click mouse once (and release, don't keep clicked)
Then, position mouse on the picture selected for deletion
DOUBLE CLICK ON PICTURE (and release).
    Then press [DEL]

Ok, I'm going to try it on this picture..

When I double click on a picture, then it is marked by a little box on each corner of the picture and when I press [DEL] then the picture will vanish...

Totally screwed up!! I ended up being able to turn the above picture green, pressed delete and my former post disappeared!! Hmmmm...I think I'd better quit while I'm ahead! Thanks for trying anyway!

I haven't been able to upload pictures at all. After corresponding with houzz, they suggested I try another browser. So I installed Firefox (which I detest) and did manage to upload the pictures in my other post. Of course, I immediately uploaded the wrong picture. lol I did manage to delete it by left clicking on the right side of the picture, then left click again in the same place and hold down. With the click being held down, swipe to the left to highlight. Once highlighted, press the delete key on your keyboard. Worked like a charm.

Tried every suggestion nothing works for me

Tried it again, didn't work. I guess I'll just have to be more careful that I choose the best pictures to upload..☺☺

Now you are empowered, I remember how helpless I felt 5 years ago when I couldn't get the hang of the old version of posting. Actually, I never did try to remove a picture so possible it didn't work taking the pictures from a photo storage site either.

    Anyway, on to other problems...☺☺
