The first looks like a "Fairy Tale" - forced under "dim" light. "Baby Star" should have a hint of a very dark red ring in the center. Which, on the other hand, is missing in the modern yet FAKE "version" I mean "surrogate" traded as "Baby Star" which actually is "Lilly Star" - *inserting angrysmilie here*

I think your last one might be a very a very pale Sumatra. It should be a much deeper color though; was this a new bulb, that might explain for it's paleness and next year should be better.

As for your Picotee I guess it could either be Picotee or possibly President Johnson. My President Johnson though didn't have any red coloration other than the picotee edge and I lost it but it sure was a beauty when it bloomed , like yours with the flowers all out at once crushing each other.

Thank you haweha. It does look like Fairy Tale without the deep
coloring. Here is my Fairy Tale that was supposed to be a
Tinkerbell...another mislabel. At least I think it is a Fairy Tale. I
know it isn't Tinkerbell. I'm not sure why the colors vary so much as I
grow all of mine outside in near full sun so both of these were side by
side. Everything else was the same too. Do you know why? Is it from the growers end?

Yes Donna...the Sumatra was this years bulb. I was wondering since all the pictures I could find had the flowers more upfacing (is that a word?).

I have quite a few Picotee but they all have very faint red edging. This one had so much color I thought maybe it was something else. Thank you for your info.

I am happy now that I can finally upload pictures too. I just wish I didn't have to use this browser to do it. I am hoping houzz has an answer for me.

Here is another "supposedly" Fiesta. It looks pretty much the same as the other above but only has two flowers per scape and is easier to see. Do you still think it is Picotee?
