Marianna's Peace is good rest found be junk. comparisons are pointless do to different growing condition and taste sensitivity.

Definitely not pointless. Obviously must take with a grain of salt, but some people who have grown 2 varieties side by side, or the same variety over numerous years have, I'm sure, some very useful insight. And one can glean something from a large number of responses too (i.e. if everyone says "I hated this one" or "I loved this one").

Druzba is a very good full flavored and productive red that most everybody likes. I certainly do!

That's good to know. Druzba is recommended in Carolyn's book and I have the seeds....

Another vote for Druzba. I've grown them all except for the Red Horizon. Only one on your list I would skip is the Omar's. Kelloggs is superior to the Jewel IMO and I'd take Mortgage over Mariannas.

DRUZBA ! I have heard rave reviews on it for couple of years. Finally I am growing it.
Both Anna Russian and Mariana's Peace are very popular and I bet it is for good reasons. So is Cuostrale.e. Omars Lebanese seems to have mixed reviews. I would scratch that one out. The other 2 names, never heard before.

I grew Cuostralee and Mortgage Lifter for the first time this last summer... MG was good, but Cuostralee was great. Great production and taste.

I have Marianna's Peace and Omar's Lebanese seed, but will probably not plant either this year as I already have Brandy Boy, Neves Azorean Red (NAR), Big Beef, Kellogg's Breakfast, and German Red Strawberry as new varieties - and Sungold, Opalka, 1884, and Cuostralee as repeats.

Marianna Peace is one of my favs, even it is a bit on late side here in zone 5. Anna Russian is well known and does well for many zones, so is Druzba. I have heard story on Red horizon being some version/ strain of Rostova? Something to try in the future. Cuostralee did not do well in my zone it is late tomato.

Wow, this is so helpful! Druzba will definitely make the final cut. Eliminating Omar's. Cuostralee stays though I may have the same problem as Sheltieche. Probably will stay with Mortgage Lifter instead of Marianna Peace- I've grown it before and I like it. Might try MP next year, though. Thanks everyone!

So, fyi, my final planting is Druzba, Kellog's Breakfast, Mortgage Lifter, Cherokee Purple and Italian Heirloom - no Cuostralee or Anna Russian to be had in my neighborhood (planting from starts, not seeds). Will keep you posted on results.
