If privacy is the issue, then you could either do some roller shades for the lower windows or Roman shades

For a master bedroom, my approach would be to hang a rod at the horizontal that spans left to right, and hang drapery that stood open at the posts themselves that could be drawn at night. Depending on the need for privacy, you could add blinds but I think that would call attention to the height differential on the elements and for me it would mess up the geometry more than some hanging panels that could add softness and color. Also, if I were doing this in a bedroom, I would be sure to use casements for the side solids - dont' sacrifice air movement - all picture windows is rarely a good solution in any room.

We have a window wall in our bedroom. It's lovely to look at and creates a beautiful impression in the room. Alas, we live in a very cold area so in the winter it is covered with insulated retractable panels in the summer the internal panels are replaced with fabric to filter the light. These are akin to sliding closet doors and lay decoratively on the wall when open and can flip completely out of the way to reveal the entire window.

Our bedroom suite is our entire 3rd floor so privacy is not an issue. For the most part the widow covering is left open. The image below is similar to what we have installed.

it's a matter of how much light you want in the morning, also. we have 2 half round windows uncovered in our master bedroom and the dawn comes up like thunder.
