we did the exact same thing, used a patterned curtain at the end of a long bathroom to bring the back forward. we also added beadboard to the walls which made them feel less tall. i think yours is a little TOO long though, was that a special size? if so i think you can accomplish the same thing with a standard height and length.

I feel that the problem might be the very high ceiling. Painting a band of darker color around the top of the room makes the ceiling appear lower as this picture demonstrates

How about sewing a band of solid color to the top of curtain to bring it down a notch visually?

nnigrt, I ordered 95", thinking I could hide that big space above the shower doors, but now I think it's too much. I think I'll try the shorter length. Thanks!

How about painting an all over stencil pattern on the shower wall. I don't care for the curtain as it make your space appear cramped.

but you were heading in the right direction. we had that same old sliding door thing on the tub at the far end of a narrow bathroom. same layout, just mirror image flipped. we put in a vanity that had an open shelf and legs to widen the side to side visual space (i cant tell if yours is, picture is cropped for me). the only difference is i had a quieter contrast curtain, normal size not extra tall. it did a great job bringing the far wall forward, making the space square rather than squished. i'd hang your over-toilet art lower as well, the heights is increasing the length of the room.

i'd say, try one more curtain before you give up.

I'd forget the curtain and make the tub area appear to be part of the room .. Add candles, pretty towel bar and towels .. Put a shelf on the wall in tub area ( way up high and put fake /real plants that cascade down to head hight .) also add some high border that wraps around the whole room to bring it all together.

Love Love the shower Curtin!! If I was you I would add a splash of color!! Maybe yellow if that is not too loud for you! I would say yellow toilet seat cover and and rug. I wouldn't get rid of the shower curtain maybe bring it down a little and have it altered so it does not drag on the floor.

perhaps the shower curtain isn't the solution after all ,you already have a door and looking at the clear glass it does call for some sort of buffer zone :)

About sticking some adhesive film on the outside part of it then ? There are many designs and colours if you like:)

Why not remove the glass door and then leave the shower curtain pulled back. Cici1958 suggested a shelf high up. I think that would look very nice with some pretty bottles filled with bath lotions. The curtain is very pretty and adds some colour. I wouldn't shorten it though.
