Last Fall I intended to plant rocambole garlic cloves I got from the local Farmers Market, Unfortunately, family crisis ensued and plans were dropped. That garlic was of course consumed.

I managed to get a few heads of hardneck at the same FM last week. I know Spring planting is generally frowned upon, but what if I refrigerated the bulbs for say 6 weeks and then planted at end of May. Could I expect to achieve heads a bit later than normally expected, say end July? Or would I still just get rounds?

I am in Z6b, mid-Hudson Valley NY.
