I have a CBS planted back in 2007, here in Ocean Springs, MS and its doing good, grown about 10-12 ft since planted, pretty much full sun and normal watering.

It'll work for a while, then get hammered by Rhizosphaera, Cytopsora, and perhaps a variant of Phomopsis. BTW, the same exact thing would eventually happen to it in Indiana. Colorado spruce are simply not adapted to areas of high atmospheric moisture. So basically, anywhere from roughly the Mississippi river eastward, the tree does okay for a while when young and full of vigor, then begins to die from the bottom up. Yours won't escape this overwhelming pattern. Nor, I should mention, will lee1990's.

But heck, you're moving to an exciting southern area. Why not get into things you didn't have in Indiana?
