I got granite a few years ago. Initially I wanted to get the same that I had in my bathroom, Casablanca. A sand color. However, the sales person said it wouldn't provide enough contrast. So I went with white with gray and black coloring. I LOVE the granite, but not necessarily with my oak colored cabinets. Not sure if I replaced my appliances with stainless if that would do the trick? Replacing the cabinets is not an option at this time. I've thought about painting them. Good luck with your project.

And I would do a simple subway tile backsplash in a light color pulled from your granite. I think the pattern is too busy for a different type of backsplash.

GR, Thanks for your response. I do like the white and grey. I have decided that blanco lablon is the color I'm going with. I do like the way your granite looks with the oak. Thanks for sharing.

GR, I forgot to mention that I might try in my bathrooms to use gel stain on the vanity which is oak too. I purchased it online at Amazon and have tried it on other wood and it works great. It has awesome reviews and is easy to use. Not much sanding needed. Check it out on Pinterest. Or just go to Amazon and put in gel stain it will pop .

Kim, Thanks for your response! I'm happy to hear you like my idea. It's been such a dilemma the last week trying to decide. I'm going to keep my white appliances and get a white sink too. I think I will try a faucet with antique bronze? The granite will ha pave a far color in it which will be close to that. I will take your advice and look for a back splash with subway tile. My cabinets are in great shape and I'm not changing-- At least for now.

I'm probably biased because I like your colors and my kitchen has similar tones. I considered blanco leblon and subway tiles but chose to go with this quartz and mosaic tile backsplash. As you can see I also have oak cabinets and white appliances! I don't think there's anything wrong with that, if every kitchen had stainless and the same color cabinets that would be boring!

Kimberley, I initially was going to go with Quartz but my daughter influenced me decision on granite. I like that Quartz you picked and the tile. I would love to see when done.

Here it is. Now just floor and backsplash to go. I love the granite and my new sink and faucet!
