Not sure what to do with flooring throughout house. Thinking about a wood look in living room, dining room, and den, and tile in kitchen, bathroom, and laundry room off of hallway. Not sure what to do with stairs? Should they be wood with white paint underneath each step? There isn't a split level entry, so I was thinking I shouldn't tile and have wood and carpet butting up to each other. I'm looking for ideas for fireplace too. I'm going to probably be upgrading kitchen cabinets to white, darker granite, and removing hanging cabinet, and replaceing with pendent lighting. Please offer suggestions with pics too.
