Sabal palm and fertilizing bermuda?

Hi, i have been getting alot of help just reading through this forum, and now i need to ask a question that cannot find answer for: is it possible to fertilize bermuda monthly to keep it healthy and at the same type not damage a sabal palm that we planted last spring. I know that turf fertilizer must not be used within 50ft of the palm tree, so what can i use, or just switch to something like empire zoysia and feed it twice a year with palm fertilizer? Thank u in advance

This reply is very late but the 50ft thing you have heard is for weed and feed formulas. Your monthly feeding should not cause any issues if it is simply nitrogen. My Palms that are in my fertilization zone look far better than the ones in the turf areas that I do not fertilize. I too have Bermuda. Probably by now you have figured this out for yourself lol.

Well, I am much further north, so do not fertilize in the Winter. I just wanted to chime in to say that this particular Sabal species (S. bermudana) is also my favorite!--Very vigorous species, and a rapid grower for a SABAL.
