What to do with those breeze blocks?

We recently did a new stucco on our 1950's Florida house and now we are thinking about paint colors. But paint colors are not the only dilemma we have; the real problem is what to do with those breeze blocks on both sides of our house? Should we paint them the same color as the house? Should we make them stand out by painting them an accent color (white, cream,...)? What color we should pick for the house? And the front door? Please help!!

Walls and breeze blocks same color as the third picture illustrates or go for color! It really should reflect what makes you happy.

What a classic beauty you have! Most of the Florida breeze block homes I have researched keep the blocks white in contrast to the body of the house. Here's a link to Sherwin Williams' "Suburban Modern" Collection of paint colors designed for the mid-century modern home owner. Might give you some good ideas.

Yes - WOW - what a classic Mid Century Modern Home you have! Congratulations. Yes - keep the contrast - white is good with anything in the gray tones, but if you prefer something softer and depending on the color you choose, try a soft white or cream - like Sherwin's Westhighland White or Creme.
