I am going to say it not a good idea to listen to the USDA because of their government tie and if you have been following anything on monsanto or not but they are pretty much all in the FDA and the USDA so better to take advice on organic gardening from just someone you grows and doesn't sell rather than the USDA. some good example's of those people are John Kholer from growingyourgreens.com, Praxxus55712, Alberta urban garden.ca, oneyardrevolution. all of which are on YouTube oh and my channelTheItalian Garden.

section on their website including how to become acertified organic grower, you bash them because ... Monsanto?
